The Guardian of Aleppo

For the artist Rana Zaher, “The Guardian of Aleppo” is her youth. In her interpretation of the carvings uncovered in the Temple of the Storm God - one of ancient Aleppo’s main deities – Rana portrays the sphinx as a child, to represent the country’s bright future.
As for the other stylistic details, they are a reminder of how a country’s culture can survive the test of time through its art.
